Break the Pain Cycle with an Integrated, Natural Approach

Unlock Your Body's Potential with Acupuncture

Living with ongoing muscle or joint pain can sap energy, disrupt sleep, and limit training or everyday activity. Many people try multiple medications—opioids, anti‑inflammatories, nerve pain drugs—yet still hurt or feel side effects. Non‑pharmacologic care that actively engages the body’s repair systems offers another path. At Anjuna Sports Acupuncture, we build personalized plans that combine needling therapies, targeted manual work, movement support, and close coordination with your medical team to help you move, train, and live with less pain

How Orthopedic Acupuncture & Manual Therapies Help

Acupuncture and related needling techniques stimulate local tissue repair, neuromuscular reset, and nervous‑system modulation—mechanisms that can reduce pain without relying on drugs. Therapeutic massage and fascia‑focused soft‑tissue work improve circulation, ease guarded muscle tone, and support recovery across injury stages. Used together, these therapies often help patients regain function they thought was lost.

 A Multi-Modal Pain Management Model

We don’t offer a one‑size treatment. After an orthopedic and movement assessment, we assemble the right mix from our toolkit:

  • Sports Acupuncture for targeted pain modulation and tissue healing in orthopedic and sports conditions.
  • Dry‑Needling Electrotherapy (DN‑ET) when trigger point–driven or refractory pain needs a stronger neuromodulatory input; frequently used for acute or chronic sports injury, often in collaboration with referring physicians or physical therapists.
  • Orthopedic Sports Massage / Fascia Release for restricted soft tissue; can be paired with Fire Cupping to decompress fascial layers and improve post‑training recovery.
  • Electro‑Acupuncture and adjunct manual therapies integrated as indicated.
  • Telehealth & Neuromuscular Exercise Consults to reinforce motor control, load progression, and home care between visits.

Plans are evidence‑informed, sport‑specific, and adjusted to stage of healing and training load.

The Patient Experience: What to Expect?

  1. Intake & Assessment – Health history, current diagnosis, training demands, and medication review.
  2. Movement & Tissue Screen – We identify pain generators, mobility restrictions, and load‑sensitive structures.
  3. Personalized Treatment Mix – May include sports acupuncture, DN‑ET, fascia release massage, fire cupping, electro‑acupuncture, and exercise guidance.
  4. Progress Tracking – Pain scores, functional benchmarks, and return‑to‑activity milestones guide visit frequency and technique selection.
  5. Collaboration – With your physician, PT, or coaching staff as needed for coordinated return‑to‑sport or activity.

Conditions We Commonly See

From overuse strains to ligament sprains, tendon disorders, spinal pain, and multi‑site athletic load syndromes, our clinic treats a broad range of orthopedic complaints. Examples highlighted in our pain management materials include patellar tendon problems, patellofemoral pain/chondromalacia, iliotibial band issues, and knee ligament sprains—illustrating the type of sport‑driven pain presentations we manage within our integrative framework.

For Referring MDs, DOs, DCs, NDs, PAs, NPs, PTs, ATCs, and Rehab Teams

Our practice was built around athletes and active patients needing coordinated care. We perform orthopedic evaluation, consider biomechanics and load patterns, and integrate biomedical findings with our needling and manual strategies. Treatment plans can be aligned to referring provider notes, surgical timelines, and PT programming. Communication and progress updates are available on request to support collaborative, goal‑driven rehab.

Insurance & Access

Acupuncture and related services are covered by many commercial plans. We are a patient-centered, culturally-competent team that routinely help patients verify benefits to get the care they need. Just submit your information and we’ll confirm eligibility and any referral or authorization requirements before treatment. Telehealth options are available for patients in eligible states when in‑person care is not feasible.
